2018 On Paper · Supreme in Shenyang was inaugurated on September 16. This group exhibition aims to investigate paper as a specific medium in art and takes an experimental approach in discovering an avant-guard concept and perspective in paper art. The exhibition will also be presented in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and 3 other cities. In Shenyang, it is supported by WU SPACE、THREE TIMES THREE CONTEMPORARY ART SPACE、GALLERY AILLEURS、SPACE TEN、TUO SPACE. 


“On Paper · Supreme” criticises the stereotypical materiality of paper which exploring the possibility of visual presentations of material. The works showcased in WU SPACE probe the “book” as a clue within which every artist approaches the concept of paper from a wide variety of visual presentations. 


Artists include AIMEE LEE(U.S.A)、FION GUNN(IRELAND)、WOONHAK CHUNG(KOREA), and two Chinese artists DAWEI DONG and JINGYAN FU.

Aimee Lee (U.S.A), 1999 BA, Oberlin College, Oberlin, OH. 2006 MFA, Columbia College, Chicago, IL. Her solo exhibitions include: Frugal and Generous: Hanji Artwork by Aimee Lee, Elsie Munro Gallery, Albion College, MI (2017) ; Gallery Korea, Korean Cultural Service, New York, NY (2016) ; Kimball Art Center, Park City, UT (2013) ; Diaspora Vibe Gallery, Miami, FL (2009).


Fion Gunn (Ireland) graduated from CIT Crawford College of Art & Design, Ireland and spent a post-graduate year at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Nancy, France. She is the first Irish artist to have a public sculpture in China: 'Slice of the Land'(stainless steel/fibreglass/stone) for the city of Zhangjiakou, in August 2012. She is represented by Peking Art Associates, Beijing. She lives and works in London. Her exhibitions include: 'Excavations', Enjoy Museum, 798 Beijing (2018); 'Views from Distant Shores' SLRA, London (2017); 'Female Artists', Da Yun Tang Art Museum (2016); Solo Show 'Timeline Tourist'@Baltic Arts Center-Witches' Tower, Slupsk, Poland (2014).


Woonhak Chung (Korea), 1965 born in Mokpo. Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende künste Städelschule Frankfurt (Germany). Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig (Germany). His exhibitions include: 1024 elapsed time Jeongeup Museum of Art, Jeongeup (2017); Light Story, Eunam Museum of Art, Gwangju (2017); Light of Existence, Museum of Contemporary Art, Gwangju (2016); 2016 Korea-China Contemporary 20Artist, Guangzhou, China (2016).


Fu Jingyan (China), 1979 born in Dalian, China. His solo exhibitions include: ARROW PARRODOX - Fu Jingyan Solo Exhibition, Platform China Contemporary Art Institute, Beijing, China (2018); Inner Tank - Fu Jingyan Solo Exhibition, Platform China Contemporary Art Institute, Beijing, China (2015); His group exhibitions include: Jungle III - Common, Platform China Contemporary Art Institute, Beijing, China (2017); China-Korea modern fine art exhibition, Seongnam Arts Center, Seoul, Korea (2007).
